Take the payment in the same system that took the booking.
Payments come with TeeWire. A round booked online, a sleeve of balls at the counter, a beer on the cart and a member statement are all recorded in the same system, so the booking and the sale that paid for it are one record rather than two kept in step by hand.
The problem
Where this usually falls apart.
Not because anyone is doing it wrong, but because the pieces were never designed to share a database.
- The processor is a separate relationship, so a card question at the counter starts with working out whose problem it is.
- Payments taken online, at the register and on the cart land in different places and have to be matched up before the day can be closed.
- Online payments and counter payments sit in two separate processor accounts, so there are two logins to manage and two places to look.
- Refunding a booking means doing it twice, once in the tee sheet and once wherever the money actually went.
- Adding online payment to an outing or a member statement means another vendor, another agreement and another number to call.

What payments includes.
Payments built into the tee sheet and the register
Payments come with TeeWire, so a booking and the sale that paid for it are the same record in the same database. The tee sheet and the register agree with each other without an export.
One processor account for online and the counter
Online booking payments and counter payments run through the same processor account, so the course has one processor login to manage.
Card terminals at the counter and on the cart
TeeWire is the point of sale and Clover hardware is the card terminal. The terminal takes the card, TeeWire holds the sale, and both the pro shop counter and the beverage cart run the same way.
Choose when the tee time gets paid for
The online booking engine can collect payment at the time of booking on your own site, so a round is paid for before the golfer arrives. Holding a card on file for the tee time and taking the money in the pro shop on the day are both settings too, and the course picks which one its golfers meet at checkout.
Online event registration with payment
Outings, leagues and clinics register and pay online in the same step, with a seat held while a registrant is still entering a card.
Member statements paid online by card
Members see the statement and pay the balance by card online, so dues and house account balances do not have to be chased by phone and check.
Gift cards and rain checks
Gift cards and rain checks are sold and redeemed online and at the register, on the same balances, so a card sold in December is honored in May without anyone looking anything up.
Credit card surcharging at a rate you set
Pass the card fee through at a rate you choose, up to the 3% the card networks allow. Debit and prepaid cards are exempted automatically, so the exemption is not something the counter has to remember.
Balances come with you when you switch
Deposits and gift card balances are part of the migration TeeWire runs for you, alongside historical bookings and customer records, so outstanding money is not written off to move systems.

Rounds, retail and food and beverage roll into the same end of day figures, with a double entry ledger underneath them. Card batches are confirmed against your processor's settlement reporting.

Answer a chargeback in minutes.
A dispute lands on a round played eleven weeks ago. The proof of the sale is a tee time, an itemized receipt, a terminal authorization and a player record, and TeeWire already holds all four, linked to the same transaction. Open the dispute and the response assembles itself on one screen, formatted the way the processor requires it.

Security
The card stays encrypted from the moment it taps.
The terminal encrypts the card at the tap and hands TeeWire a token. TeeWire works from that token at the counter and everywhere else, and stores only the card brand and the last four digits, which keeps your PCI obligation at the smallest footprint the standard allows.
Connected by design
Payments does not run on its own.
Every module writes to the same database, so none of these hand copies to each other.
