Event Registration

Outings, leagues and clinics sign up and pay online.

Post the event, take the signups and take the money in the same step, with a seat held while a registrant is checking out. Registration runs inside TeeWire, on the payment processing that is already built into the tee sheet and the register. One provider. One phone call. One company.

The problem

Where this usually falls apart.

Not because anyone is doing it wrong, but because the pieces were never designed to share a database.

  • The signup form lives on somebody else's site, so the roster arrives as a spreadsheet that a staff member re-keys by hand
  • Money for the outing settles apart from the rest of the day, and the two get squared up at month end instead of at close
  • The tee sheet does not know the event exists until somebody remembers to block the window
  • The golfer who signed up online is a fresh name at the counter, so the same person ends up on file twice under two spellings
  • When the weather turns on Friday, there is no list to email that is actually the list of people who paid

Capabilities

What event registration includes.

Sign up and pay online

Outings, leagues and clinics register and pay online instead of by phone call, paper sheet and check. Online event registration is part of TeeWire, not a form service bolted to the side of it.

Seats held at checkout

A seat is held while the registrant is checking out, so the number on the page is the number you can work from while somebody is still entering a card.

Payment is part of TeeWire

Registration money is taken through payment processing that comes with TeeWire, so outing revenue lands in the same day and the same ledger as everything else the course sold.

Signups on your own site

Leagues and outings sign up and pay on the course website, which TeeWire designs, hosts and keeps current. Golfers are not handed off to somebody else's brand to give you their money.

The tee sheet holds the time

Block the window the event needs. A league that plays the same night every week is a repeating block set once, not a Tuesday chore.

League and outing rates stay put

League nights, member rates and corporate outing rates can sit flat while weekend prime inventory prices dynamically. The pricing rules layer, so it is not all or nothing.

Email and text the field

Email marketing and text messaging run from inside TeeWire, built off real golfer records, for the announcement, the reminder and the Friday weather call.

One customer record

TeeWire keeps one customer record across online booking, the tee sheet and the register, so the golfer who signed up online is the same person at the counter rather than a second entry under a different spelling.

The numbers land in the ledger

A double entry general ledger sits under the register, with a golf chart of accounts that already carries an event revenue account, and it pushes to QuickBooks Online or QuickBooks Desktop. An outing is not a second set of numbers to re-key at month end.

The list is yours to take

Full data export at any time, and the marketing list is the course's own golfer list rather than an audience you rent from a vendor.

How it works

A day of event registration in TeeWire.

  1. Post the event

Set up the outing, the league or the clinic with its date, its price and how many seats it has, and put the signup on the course website where golfers already are.

  2. Hold the time on the sheet

Block the window the event needs on the tee sheet. If it is a league that plays the same night every week, set the repeating block once and stop re-entering it.

  3. Golfers sign up and pay

Registration and payment happen in the same step, online, with a seat held while the registrant checks out. Nobody at the counter is taking names on paper.

  4. Tell them, then run the day

Email and text the field from the same system for the reminder and the weather call. On the day, the pro shop, the grill room and the cart ring up on the same register as everything else.

TeeWire, Event Registration

Common questions

Straight answers.

Is this tournament management software?
No, and it is worth being direct about that. TeeWire handles registration. Outings, leagues and clinics sign up and pay online, a seat is held while a registrant is checking out, and the money comes in through the payment processing that is part of TeeWire. Scoring, formats, flights, handicap services and live leaderboards are not part of this module. If your event needs scoring, that stays with whatever scoring service you already use, and TeeWire covers getting the field signed up, paid and on the tee sheet.
Is Event Registration included in the tee sheet plan?
No. Event Registration is an optional add-on module on top of a tee sheet plan, priced by how many events the course runs in a year: $40 a month for up to 10 events, $75 for 11 to 20, $100 for 21 to 30 and $150 above that. Tee sheet plans are $149 a month for a 9 hole course, $179 for 18 holes, $235 for 27 and $285 for 36, and every plan includes the cloud based tee sheet and the online booking engine. Adding the TeeWire Golf POS is $150 a month on top of any tee sheet plan. Take the add-ons you actually want.
Can golfers pay at the moment they sign up?
Yes. Signup and payment are the same step, online, and the seat is held while the registrant is checking out. Payments come with TeeWire, so the registration, the sale and the ledger entry are one record rather than three to line up later.
Who gets us set up, and who do we call afterward?
TeeWire does both, and neither is billed as a service engagement. Moving onto TeeWire is white glove: we handle the migration ourselves at no charge, tee sheet templates, historical bookings, customer records, pricing rules and gift card balances come across in five days, and your staff are trained on the workflows they will actually use. Support afterward is 100% U.S. based, from people who know golf operations, not just the software.
Does the tee sheet know the event is happening?
It does once you block the time, and blocking is part of the tee sheet itself. A one off outing is a blocked window. A league that plays the same night every week is a repeating block that you set once. Rate rules for league nights, member play and corporate outings sit in the same pricing engine that runs the rest of the sheet, so a league rate can stay flat while weekend prime inventory prices dynamically.
